The villa was the seat of an important literary salon and for a long time Elisabetta Caminer Turra stayed there, the first female journalist of the time, known for her lighting ideas.
The village of Orgiano inserted into a Roman centuriation, then a Lombard settlement area, participated in all the historical events of the last centuries. The villa was occupied by the Napoleonic troops after the battle of Arcole, by the Austrian soldiers in 1866, by the Italian command in 1918, by the Wehrmacht in 1945.
In 1870 the assets of the Fracanzan were taken over by the Orgian and then passed by succession to the Piovene family.
