Vicenza is a city in the Veneto region, in northeastern Italy. It is known for the elegant buildings designed by Andrea Palladio, a 16th century architect. These include the Basilica Palladiana and Palazzo Chiericati, now home to an art gallery. Nearby, again by Palladio, the indoor Olympic Theater is built in the style of a classical open-air theater. On the outskirts of the city, the Villa La Rotonda, in the hills, has 4 identical facades.
